The Opportunity
The Strategic Product Marketing Director serves as a critical bridge between Product Management and the broader market, aligning product capabilities with market needs and opportunities. This role involves leading the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth within the specialized commodity trading and financial markets. The ideal candidate has a background in product management, excels in translating technical expertise into impactful marketing strategies, and brings a deep understanding of location intelligence products, utilities or financial trading markets. A proven track record in B2B marketing and expertise in SaaS data products are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine value propositions, positioning, and messaging for SaaS data products, tailored to industry-specific needs, particularly in the trading and financial services industry.
- Partner with Product Management to influence the roadmap based on market demands and customer feedback; helping to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new features and offerings.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product positioning and pricing, customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Track, analyze and report on key performance indicators, customer acquisition costs, conversion rates and lifetime value. Translate insights into actionable strategies that inform product development and sales enablement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategy to support company objectives, including lead generation, customer retention, and market expansion, with a focus on identifying and prioritizing target markets and customer personas in the trading and financial services industry.
- Lead product launches, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Sales to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals.
- Lead brand visibility initiatives by leveraging innovative and high-impact channels, including thought leadership opportunities, strategic collaborations, industry events, and compelling content that resonates with target audiences, going beyond traditional marketing approaches.
- Develop multi-channel campaigns to generate qualified leads.
- Define success metrics for marketing initiatives and measure the impact on product adoption and revenue.
- Ensure consistency across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints, optimizing the customer journey.
- Iterate on strategies to optimize outcomes based on data-driven insights including the management of the marketing budget to maximize ROI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA, a plus.
- 7+ years in Product Marketing, Product Management or similar strategic role with 2+ years of management or team lead experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA, a plus.
- Proven expertise in the energy or financial trading markets with an understanding of trading platforms, financial markets, or related technology solutions or expertise in location intelligence/geospatial Saas Products.
- Expertise in digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Salesforce.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into impactful, customer-centric strategies.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, drive performance, and achieve revenue targets.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 – 165,000. This range reflects a broad spectrum to account for varying costs of living across different geographic locations and individual Factors. Climavision considers several factors when extending an offer of employment including but not limited to, the applicant’s education, experience, the responsibilities of the role, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
